The Collin Theatre Center Presents Li’’l Abner

Li’l AbnerThe Collin Theatre Center in Plano, TX continues their 2007-2008 season with Li’’l Abner, a musical cartoon by Gene DePaul and Johnny Mercer with Norman Panama and Melvin Frank based on the comic strip characters created by Al Capp. When residents of Dogpatch, USA are notified by the government that they must evacuate, they try to persuade the government that their town is worth saving. Meanwhile, Earthquake McGoon wants to marry Daisy Mae; Daisy Mae wants to marry and Li’l Abner just wants to go fishing. A classic musical comedy that is appropriate for the all ages. Directed by Brad Baker and Mark Mullino with choreography by Paula Morelan.

Li’l Abner will be presented by the Collin Theatre Center at Collin College, in the John Anthony Theatre, 2800 E. Spring Creek Parkway, Plano 75074. Performances are February 28-29, March 1, 5-8 at 8 p.m., with matinees on March 2, 8-9 at 2:15 p.m. Tickets are $15 for General Admission, $10 for Students and Senior Citizens (55+).
